On July 29, 2017, Pennsylvania Care Health & Wellness held its inaugural Community Health Festival and unveiled its Medical Care Unit – a new mobile screening unit and intake office. The mobile care unit educates the community, provides services such as blood pressure screenings, blood sugar testing, Primary Care health services, mental health counseling and other health related services across Southeastern Pennsylvania.
The 2017 Pennsylvania Care Health Fest, sponsored by Pennsylvania Care Associates, was held at Malcolm X Park and over 4,000 individuals from across the Greater Philadelphia region attended. Community leaders, dignitaries and elected officials joined Pennsylvania Care Associates for theCareMobile ribbon cutting and provided greetings from the City of Philadelphia and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additionally, the festival engaged local businesses and nonprofits with its cultural diversity market,
providing community resources and vendor opportunities.
Due to the large success of this past year's event, Pennsylvania Care Health Fest has expended to an entire week of healthy fun starting on Sunday, July 22 in Malcolm X Park with a Community Kick-Off, followed by a 5-dayBeWhole Healthy Living Tour and ending with the Main Event at Penn's Landing on Saturday, July 28, 2018. The 2018 Pennsylvania Care Health Fest is expected to draw over 15,000 residents from the Greater Philadelphia Region and has media exposure projections culminating over 10 Million impressions leading up to the event.
